Review: The Light Between Oceans
It is 3 o’clock in the afternoon, my hair is still disheveled from last nights sleep and I just finished a terribly beautiful story. How much worse can life be?
This book starts out as an ordinary love story. But as the tale unfolds, you are mercilessly coaxed towards the big lies and truths. Not only of what Tom and Isabel have done, but also of what you yourself would have done, if you had been in their shoes. And I am not so sure what choices I would have made.
The isolation of the island with the light house, the weather and the big light provide a beautiful backdrop for the story. You will be hard pressed to keep dry eyes.
Even if you are not very impressed at the start of the book, keep on reading until you are hooked!
I had better get dressed now.
