Review: The Republic of Thieves
The endearing scoundrels Locke and Jean do it again! With their wit and pranks, they turn a city into turmoil and make you their accomplice. There is enough bull shit in this story to cover the complete earth. Or at least half of it. But you easily forgive them when they make you laugh out loud again.
The story is a bit thin. The past is interesting, until Scott Lynch turns it into a play. I skipped most of those parts. Might have been fun for him to write them, but they were very boring to read.
The present is mainly a lot of fun. At least for the reader.
I am very curious where we are heading next.
