Review: Stranger in a Strange Land
I really enjoyed the first half of the book, where a Martian comes to Earth and everything is new to him. It is a unique perspective and the only other book that comes close is Foreigner (though the setting of that book is definitely not earth).
The fact that this book was written about 70 years ago does not diminish its readability. It is sometimes even very endearing to see how Robert Heinlein thought about a lot of changes in the future, whereas he missed some others completely.
The second half of the book is not bad, but it drags on way too long. That is why only 3 stars and not 4.
